Welcome!
We all have the inherent capacity for wellness. With training and practice, we can cultivate internal resources such as self-awareness and self-compassion to enhance well-being. With deeper self-awareness, we can connect to others authentically, improve relationships and create a deep sense of connection and belonging. Self-compassion is associated with lower levels of anxiety and depression. When pursuing life goals, self-compassion has been shown to be key to perseverance in the face of setbacks and linked to more personal accountability. Also critical to wellness and peak performance is self-regulation: our ability to manage our attention, emotion, behavior and stress response. Skills to improve self regulation, including mindfulness and mindsets, can be learned. We practice these skills to operate in the world with several advantages. We learn to respond rather than react, make thoughtful decisions, manage stress, navigate relationships, and effectively communicate, all of which translates into better physical and mental health, optimal learning, and a more joyful life.
